Sound Business Modernization implementation allows for continuous improvement of enterprise business processes and underlying IT infrastructure.
Process changes can also be implemented via the application modernization route. Rather than dismantling or reengineering entire processes, another approach is to implement business changes by modifying and modernizing existing applications.
ndVOR has expertise in web-enabling Cobol, RPG applications on IBM's i platform (previously AS/400) using IBM's tools as well as third party tools like LANSA.
ENTERPRISE APPLICATION MIGRATION
It is imperative for businesses to embrace change to retain their competitive edge.
Modernization should be a maintenance project. Simply put, business (leaders) should be allowed to focus on growth/market, while the enablers (IT) ensure that there is business continuity.
Take existing application (code, database, et al)
Move it on to a new (chosen) platform, execute it to run as is
Transparent to the user (it is business as usual)
Modernize the user interface
Achievable. Can be automated to a high degree, but needs effort combined with good planning/execution.
ndVORs i2i service offering ensures that at each stage of the process, the customer is in total control of the current and future state(s). From identifying the automation tool to a Proof-of-concept to Pilot to Roll-out, ndVOR does it all.

Any CPG or Food manufacturing company depends on efficient Primary and Secondary sales. While most organizations have visibility to Primary sales as it is directly done by the manufacturer, they lack visibility to their products in the Secondary sales market. Delayed sales and stock information from secondary market reduces these organizations’ ability to respond quickly and thus prevent loss of sales.
The objective of this system is to have complete integration between the manufacturers and their dealers/distributors/stores so that they have proper visibility of their Stock and Sales at each of these levels without compromising on security of its IT engine. While there are existing solutions, they are prohibitively expensive. The slowing growth in developed markets and exponential increase in consumption in emerging markets demand solutions that are cost-effective and quick to implement. ndSTRIBUTE will be an add-on to SAP ECC systems with cost-effective components that can be bolted on to the existing SAP implementation.
Have visibility of up to date secondary sales in the market
Analyze the penetration of their as well as their competitor’s products in the market
Drive more sales by setting realistic targets to distributors
Bring all the distributors working on various solutions to a common DMS (Distributor Management System) solution in order to have
• Easier solution maintenance
• Quick information to product performance in market
Measure achievement of distributors against set targets
Promote sales of slow moving products
Have control on the pricing mechanism and drive sales through promotional campaigns
Typical sales force within the secondary sales network run into thousands. Ensure that the sales force gets efficient communication and support and the company gets inputs on real-time sales and additional inputs from the sales team

Many companies that have traditionally built applications on SYNON are now facing real pressure to modernize their business applications beyond the scope and capability of what SYNON (CA 2E) can offer. The challenge is to move forward without discarding decades of investment in design, evolution and fine-tuning stored in the SYNON model. X-2E offers Graphical Analysis, Documentation, Design Recovery & Migration to Java or C# for SYNON applications.
